In this post, I will share my story of going from stress, hyper-anxiety, and depression to absolute peace and happiness by visiting ancient temples. I achieved this in a simple 5-step meditation process that I have noted below, along with my personal experience. When success feels empty
Throughout my life, I have always been an overachiever with big dreams and ambitious goals. From being the topper in school to becoming a Chartered Accountant and working in the world of finance in Dubai, I have achieved many milestones at a young age. My life looked absolutely perfect and glamorous from the outside. And I knew that many people actually desired the life that I was living.
But no one told me that success could feel so empty. It was like I was stuck in a never-ending race of life. And achieving one goal after another just gave me fleeting moments of pride and happiness, before I would once again rush behind my next goal. Nobody knew that behind my smile, I was battling hyper-anxiety and depression every day. My fast-paced lifestyle combined with my perfectionist attitude drained me fast. I was stuck in the vicious cycle of working hard and feeling burnt out. I was slowly falling apart.
The Darkness
Then came the lowest moments of my life. My unstable professional life, failed romantic relationships, and unresolved family issues dragged me further down into the depths of my darkness. The people closest to me stabbed me in my back and ripped my soul apart. Almost no one supported me. I only found closed doors whenever I needed some emotional support. While everything was going wrong I questioned my existence.
I felt like I was dead, while I was alive.
I am an outgoing person, but there were days when I could not lift myself from my bed. And do you know what’s the most interesting thing? This darkness that I was drowning into, was created by my mind, my very own thoughts.
I stumbled upon the unexpected journey of visiting ancient temples, during one such dark moment of my life. This is the story of how my transformative mental healing and spiritual journey, began with a random visit to a temple in Nepal.
The Transformation Begins
I wasn’t looking for answers or solutions when I first walked into the Pashupatinath Temple in Nepal. I had just landed in Kathmandu and visited the temple like any other tourist. But what happened to me was beyond my imagination. When I came face to face with the 5 faced Shivalinga at this temple, I felt a significant shift inside me. The spiritual energy of this temple is so powerful that it cannot be described in words, it has to be experienced. It wasn’t just calming and peaceful but also healing and transformative. My journey of visiting temples started here, and very soon I covered hundreds of temples across India and we are still counting.

- Fiercely believe in God to make your fears vanish.
- Ask the devil inside you to shut up and let the divine speak.
Me Before temples – I was controlled by my fears.
Me After temples – With faith in God, I face my fears.

Deep mental cleanse
- Identify and remove all the negative self-sabotaging thoughts from your mind.
- Replace this negative thought immediately with its opposite positive thought.
- Imagine this positive thought or positive outcome actually happening in your life.
Me Before temples – My mind was a battlefield of self-doubt and negativity.
Me After temples – I take on life’s challenges with my positive mindset.

- The energy that you spend on negative emotions like fear, anger, anxiety, and depression is now saved.
- Carefully use this saved energy in positive emotions like faith, love, happiness, and gratitude.
- Now your mind will not hurt you, and you will get an instant boost of energy and power.
Me Before temples – Negative emotions like stress, anxiety, depression, anger, and sadness sucked all of my energy.
Me After temples – I consciously choose positive emotions like faith, love, happiness, and gratitude and they give me immense power.
